Preschool Class Description
PRESCHOOL GYMNASTICS
(1 year to 5 years)
Our Pre-School classes run Monday to Friday during school hours. We encourage all our pre-school children to learn early balance, co-ordination and gymnastics skills through a variety of fun activities each week. The programme is structured and focuses on basic motor skills, spatial awareness, strength and agility in a stimulating purpose-built gym using specialist equipment.
We also integrate children with special needs into our pre-school programme and ensure there is a fully qualified GMPD coach to support if necessary.
Richmond Toddlers
(1 year to 3 years)
Parents/carers attend these classes with their children. Classes run for 45 minutes. Our coaches act as a guide as you and your child work together building confidence and skills.
Richmond Rompers
(3 years to 5 years)
Children attend these classes without their parents. Classes run for 45 minutes. We operate a 7 to 1 child to coach ratio. Rompers follow the well established RGA pre-school award scheme which allows each child to develop and progress at their own pace and rewards them with a certificate each term. Rompers also have two watching weeks per term which allows parents and family to come along and see their child’s progress for themselves from our viewing gallery.
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a place in our general gymnastics after-school programme for children who attended the pre-school programme.
Dress Code: RGA Leotard or t-shirt and bare feet. For safety reasons, we cannot allow any kind of jewellery when participating in gymnastics activities; this includes earrings of any kind, even studs.
