Tumbling Squads

Tumbling is a very dynamic, powerful, yet elegant discipline which always attracts a crowd. Eight elements are required in each tumble run. The harder an element is to perform, the greater its value.

Tumblers perform on a sprung 25 meter track and perform as many somersaults and twists as they can - the more spectacular the better.

Competitions range from club to international level and Great Britain is ranked one of the best countries in the world with multiple World and European medallists.

Tumbling at the RGA has gone from strength to strength from elite level right down to NDP Prep A.

Their chances of success have been greatly enhanced by the recent appointment of two Senior Tumbling Coaches:

  • Kath Peberdy – Women’s World Champion – member of the National Squad for 11 years

  • Robert Small – Men’s World Bronze Medallist – member of the National Squad for 10 years

The level of skills achieved by RGA gymnasts has been rising steadily. The RGA Tumbling Squad is increasingly successful at regional, national and recently, international competitions.

We have every expectation that this success will continue helped by the construction of an International length tumble run.
