Wirral-RGA Interclub Competition

Over 12 RGA tumblers and their families visited the Wirral Gymnastics Club on the above week for our first ever Interclub Tumbling Competition.

After training on the Saturday we were all then entertained by the Wirral gymnasts, coaches and parents with a trip across the famous Mersey and a couple of hours free time in Liverpool.  Next over 40 of us had a great game of bowling ( the parents definitely all need a lot more practice here !!) and then back to our hotel for a bite to eat.

Sunday morning saw us get down to the serious business with both individual and a team competition between RGA and Wirral Tumblers on National and Elite level fixed tariff grades.

RGA had representatives in 5 of the 7 categories and came home with 9 individual medals: 4 Golds, 4 Silver and 1 Bronze but much more importantly the Interclub Team Trophy

The Trophy was awarded based upon the 10 ten scoring runs from each club. It was a very very close competition with RGA winning by just a few points!

I am sure the Wirral will be looking forward to the return leg of this Interclub competition at RGA in the future.

All RGA gymnasts had a great week end and we would like to pass our thanks onto all at the Wirral for a great week end and well ran competition. We look forward to welcoming you to RGA soon.
