John Jenkins Chairman of RGA said “We are very pleased to have finished this project and to have this facility in place. It is great news not only for our own 1700 general and elite gymnasts who train with us on a weekly basis, but also the elite Gymnasts of London who now have a world class facility available to them”
Lyn Gray President of RGA added “Tumbling at RGA has gone from strength to strength since our appointment of two world class coaches in 2006 - Kath Peberdy, former Women’s World Tumbling Champion and Rob Small, former Men’s World Tumbling Bronze Medallist. Both coaches have brought a wealth of expertise and experience and we are delighted to add the last part of our strategic plan in the form of this new world class track” John added “ This track would not have been possible without the commitment and help of RGA parents and funding from many organisations including : The London Marathon Fund, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames Initiative Fund, The Mercer’s Company and Bechtel Ltd. We would like to pass our thanks on to all of them” Congratulations were added by Chris Brockbank, Chairman of the London Gymnastics Federation Acrobatic& Tumbling Technical Committee “ Richmond has always been a strong tumbling and acrobatic club and with this new facility we look forward to the region performing even better in the future” >> to topSpring (OK it was Autumn) CleanMany thanks to all that helped make our gym sparkly and clean again. >> to top
