Another Great Year for RGA Acro Gymnastics Teams at the London Regional Competition.

At the London Region Acrobatics Competition held on Sunday the 16th March, Richmond Gymnastics Association had another great year coming home with 6 Gold, 3  Silver and 2 Bronze medals.

Lewis Walker and Charlie Duncan did particularly well winning the highest scoring Cup in a Men’s Pair.  

Salme Brockbank, Director of Coaching at RGA said  "All the Gymnasts did really well again this year, they did themselves proud and we are hopeful of some good results at the Nationals in May."  She added "It was great to see some of our younger gymnasts Chloe Gowans, Cicily Irwin, Alexander Papworth coming home with a medal in their first Regional Competition"

5 RGA Teams including Jennifer Bailey, Fearn Griffin & Eleanor Munro who won gold in grade 1 women's groups, will go onto to represent the London Region in the National finals in Stoke on Trent in May this year.

RGA also has 6 partnerships competing at the British Championships at the end of March. These are Holly Limbrick, Matilda Scott and Eliza Kosse , Clara Nutting, Vikki Boyce and Emilia Bjerke, Claire Cason and Ria Marwaha , Tsveti Genov, Tashi Goldring and Josie Russell , Lucy Bearn, Stephanie Bailey and  Flora Scott , Tania Noble, Shannon Brooks and  Jessica Lightowler.

RGA takes - Top Tumbling Club in London Region 

In the recent London Region Tumbling Competition held on Saturday the 8th March at RGA , RGA came out as the top club with 10 Gold medals, 5 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze medal.

The gymnasts ranged from 8 years upwards, with many of then competing for the first time in a competition like this.

Kath Peberdy , Head of Tumbling at RGA said  "The tumblers all performed really well with their results even surpassing that of last year, out of 17 Richmond  Gymnasts competing 16 won medals".

7 RGA gymnasts will now go onto to represent the London Region at the National Finals in Stoke on Trent in May this year versus 3 last year.

Heather Cowell and Joshua Bland will be competing in the British Championships later this month. >>Click here for results
