News - November 2007Click on the month to see previous news bulletins>>> Richmond Invitational Competition RGA ran our annual Acrobatic Gymnastics competition on11th November. Gymnasts from Croydon Acro, Heathrow, Camden and the RGA competed in a team competition. The RGA preformed extremely well and won the gold and bronze medal. The Invitational was also an opportunity for FIG gymnasts to practice their routine prior to the British Open Tournament in December. To view photos of the event please click >>here Tumbling World Championship Some good news from Canada. Our senior tumbler, Greg did very well. He landed both of his tumbles and contributed to a very solid team effort. His individual placing is 28th and the team went through into the finals in 4th position. In the team final the pressure showed a little with two of the team making slight errors. Their final ranking is the worst place to be 4th. Tumble Run News The tumble run build is now well underway and phase one (including the new tumble run) should be completed and ready for action by early December. Due to some unforeseen issues over utility supplies to the school next door, phase 2 will not now be complete until early in the new year. We would like to thank all parents and gymnasts for their continued support and understanding during this difficult time and we hope you all agree the end result will be well worth the wait. New training leotards for squad girls & boys The new kit has been decided and orders now placed. RGA will now hold stock of this kit as it is tailor made for us by Milano. We anticipate delivery in 4 – 6 weeks It is not essential to purchase this kit straight away but this will replace the current training kit. Costs have been kept to a minimum. We would appreciate your help in placing Pre-Orders ASAP to ensure we have ordered sufficient numbers initially. Order Forms are now available from the office or your coach Gymnastics Coaches Needed The RGA is looking for coaches Level 2 and above in general gymnastics for a few after school hours a week.
