New Tumble Run
After years of planning and fund raising, work on the new competition tumble run will begin on 25th June. The new track will allow the RGA to hold regional competitions and ensure our club will be a major contributor to the sport in London. It is planned that the new track will be up and running by November.
The existing track has been sold and will be dismantled after the club championship.
During the construction of the extension to house the track, there will be some restrictions in using the car park.
A Fond Farewell to Tracey
After many years of service to the club, our high performance coach and brevet judge has left the RGA to move to the Northamptonshire countryside where she will be coaching people to drive. So it is goodbye Spaghetti and hallo Spaghetti Junction as she exchanges her Corbet for a Corvette.

Tracey has promised to
come and visit us soon and we all wish her the very best for the future.
Comments from the Webmaster's dinning table:
Having mentioned my two terrible puns about Tracey's change of career at the dinner table, Mrs Webmaster, Webjunior and Webjuniorette unleashed a torrent of other appalling suggestions. These included:
From acrobatics to
automatics
From straddle to saddle
From collecting medals to pressing pedals
From controlling kids to controlling skids
No more toned gymnasts - just spare tyres
From mixed bridge to staying on the bridge
From tariffs to tolls
If you have better suggestions, please email
webmaster@richmondgymnastics.co.uk

New Squads for Acro
A new squad set up for acrobatics gymnastics has been put in place. See the squad pages for details.
The RGA has launched and published our new website. We intend to keep it bang up to date with news, competition results, details of classes, photos and a calendar of upcoming events.
The calendar will have details of who is competing in the competitions as well as the location and starting times. Social event will also be publish.
Please come and visit the site regularly to keep up-to-date with the activities of our club.
WE NEED PHOTOGRAPHS for the site. If you have some good photos, please could you email them to pascale@richmondgymnastics.co.uk or leave them with Pascale and we shall scan and return them to you.
London Youth Games
The gymnasts competing in the London Youth Games prelims all did really well, unfortunately they did not qualify for the finals but we are very proud of them, the boys finished in 11th place and the girls finished in 21st place.
Tumbling National Finals
Richmond/LGF had three representatives from the Tumbling squad
Candice Walker =8th
Georgia
Myers 11th (?)
Katherine Bailey 6th
All three gymnasts performed really well especially considering it was the first
time any of them had made it through to the National Finals. Katherine did
particularly well in a very competitive group.
Tumbling Regional Squads
The third squad of the year was held two weeks ago. 15 Gymnasts from Croyden and
Sportac attended. Probably the biggest turn out so far.
There are 102 recreational gymnasts entered in the Tumbling Champs from the centre and all 6 satellite centres. Teams of 3 gymnasts represent their class in the competition. All 3 scores count, medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd and all gymnasts will receive a certificate of participation.
There were 2 pre-school courses run at the RGA. They went very well and we had positive feedback from the tutor about the venue. She will be running another course in July.
We are still waiting for a new date for the assistant exam. We currently have 7 coaches waiting to take their exam.
