2007 Christmas Display

Best Medal Haul at the British Open Tournament

Richmond had it best best performance ever at the British Open Tournament in Stoke-on-Trent which included international competitors from USA and Ireland.

There was a high standard on show including many competitors who were regulars in their national squads.

Richmond had a record 21 gymnasts competing in both acro and tumbling. Medal winners included:

Lucy, Stephanie and Flora - Gold medal, Out of Age
Tania, Shannon and Jess - Bronze medal, Out of Age

Claire and Ria - Silver medal, Junior FIG

In Tumbling:
Greg - Gold medal, Senior Tumbling
Heather - Silver medal, 11-12yrs Tumbling

Tumbling Run

After 4 months of noise and disruption we are pleased to confirm that phase 1 of the building works are now complete and the new Tumble Run is in place.  This great new addition to RGA facilities makes it the best in the London Region and this will benefit all our Gymnasts greatly.

The extension to the run way (phase 2) will commence as soon utility supplies to the school next door have been re located. Although this is out of our control we are hopeful the builders will return at the end of January.

We would like to thank all parents and gymnasts for their continued support and understanding during this difficult time and we hope you all agree the end result is well worth the wait.

Club Champs

RGA ran our annual club championships for Acrobatic Gymnastics.  The highest standard of routines from Prep A to FIG were on show for an enthusiastic audience.  Without doubt this was the best overall standard ever on show by the club.

Well done gymnasts and coaches.

After the competition, a party was held in the gym that was enjoyed by all.
