Richmond Rompers

Classes take place from Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3.30pm at the RGA centre using our main purpose built gym and specific pre-school equipment. All the classes are Ύ hour long.

The classes are structured and children are encouraged to learn early balance, co-ordination and gymnastic skills through a variety of activities each week.

Children attend classes depending upon their age: 

  • 18 months – 2 ½ years

  • 2 ½  - 3 ½ years

  • 3 ½  - 5 years

Children aged 18 months  - 2 ½ years attend parent and toddler classes. The other two age groups attend the class on their own. If children are not ready to attend classes without a parent/carer they may stay in parent and toddler classes until they are 3 years old. There is a waiting area for parents/carers at the gym.

Parents are welcome to observe their child’s progress in the week before half term and the penultimate week of the term.

All the coaches hold a British Gymnastics coaching qualification and are all CRB checked.


Registering for a class:

Children can be put on the waiting list for Romper classes at 15 months old. The current time before you are likely to be offered a place is between 3 and 9 months. 

Please note that unfortunately we cannot accommodate all our Richmond Romper Children in the Recreational classes when they go to full-time school. This is entirely due to available time/space. Romper classes run from 9.30 – 3.30 five days a week for children aged 2 – 5.  Recreational classes can only run from 4 – 8pm but need to accommodate children aged 5 – 15. The numbers just do not add up!

There is a £6.00 reduction on fees for siblings.

Refunds:
Membership fees and Class fees are not refundable.

Special Rates:
Offered to parents in receipt of Income Support or on low income.
