Rules and Regulations
This competition is only open to RGA gymnasts who train for
a maximum of 2 hours a week (including gym clubs at school). Gymnasts who train
for more than 2 hours are not eligible to enter. This competition is only open
to gymnasts aged 7 or above on the day of competition.
There will be a practice competition in their normal class
week beginning 11th May. From here, the top three gymnasts will be
chosen to represent their class at the competition. The practice competition is
compulsory for all gymnasts to participate in, however if you do not
wish for your child to compete on the day please fill out the form below and
return to the RGA office before 11th May, 2009
Parents of gymnasts chosen to represent their class will be
notified via email with session times and timetables in the half term. These
will also be available on the website and the notice board at RGA. If we do not
have your email address please hand it in to Pascale at the office or notify
Tameira via email
tameira@richmondgymnastics.co.uk
Criteria
Gymnasts
must present all three tumbles to the judges.
Any
gymnast that tumbles up an age category will not receive a bonus, however any
gymnast that competes down an age category will have one whole mark deducted
from each tumble.
7-8
year olds
- Cartwheel, Chasse,
Cartwheel
- Forward roll,
straight jump, forward roll, star jump, forward roll tuck jump
- Forward roll, jump
180, backward roll, jump 180
9-10 year olds
- Cartwheel, chasse,
round off, tuck jump
- Roundoff, jump 180,
forward roll, tuck jump, star jump
- Jump 180, backward
roll, jump 180, forward roll, jump 360
11-12 year olds
- Cartwheel, cartwheel,
round off, straight jump, backward roll

13+
year olds
